Our Programs
From Trauma to Transformation
At Jazzy Jam for Empowerment, we use the Collaborative Academic Social Emotional Learning (CASEL) framework to support youth mental health through meditation, anti-bullying, career exploration, and creative activities. Our goal is to build emotional resilience, healthy relationships, and life skills that help young people thrive in school and beyond.

Our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Mental Health Programs are designed to support the whole person—emotionally, socially, and academically. Through activities like meditation, breathing exercises, anti-bullying education, career exploration, and special events centered on art, music, sports, entrepreneurship, and college preparation, we create engaging pathways for growth and healing.
At JJE, we implement the widely recognized
CASEL framework to guide our SEL work. This research-based model fosters skills across five key areas of social and emotional competence, helping young people and adults build healthy identities, manage emotions, set meaningful goals, show empathy, maintain positive relationships, and make caring, responsible decisions.
The CASEL framework also supports equitable, coordinated practices across classrooms, schools, families, and communities—helping establish environments of trust, collaboration, and inclusion. Because it honors each community’s unique strengths and needs, it offers a powerful, adaptable foundation for creating safe, healthy, and thriving spaces for all.

Cooking Up Love, Confidence, and Connection
One Recipe at a Time
Our 5 Love Languages Cooking Class is a heartwarming experience where kids and parents come together to bond, learn, and grow through the joy of cooking. Blending the fun of culinary exploration with the power of emotional connection, this class introduces families to the five love languages—Quality Time, Words of Affirmation, Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch—in a hands-on, meaningful way.
Designed especially for beginners, our Jazzy Jam Cooking Class makes learning to cook simple and joyful. Kids and teens gain confidence in the kitchen as they learn to read recipes, handle kitchen tools safely, and prepare healthy meals from scratch—all in a supportive, encouraging environment.
Whether your child dreams of being a chef or is just curious about cooking, this class offers more than skills—it nurtures creativity, teamwork, self-expression, and lifelong healthy habits. Children also discover their own love language while learning how to connect, care for others, and care for themselves.
It’s more than a cooking class—it’s a safe, joyful space where hearts open, bonds strengthen, and families thrive… one recipe at a time.
